Joining Cats Protection
Chesterfield & District Branch as a Member, ensures
that any money you donate goes to the Branch, which
in turn helps us to help all those Cats that so
desperately need us. We are staffed entirely by
unpaid volunteers (slaves) but we can only continue
to do our job with your help.
As a charity we rely on our members' subscriptions, donations, sponsorship of elderly and unmovable cats, legacies and the support of members and the general public at our fund raising events. An ideal way to keep up with what we have achieved and hopefully our aims for the future is to join our local members. It costs £6.00 per year for adults & £3.00 per year for senior citizens & junior members. In return you receive a locally produced newsletter twice a year, our eternal gratitude and even the opportunity (not an obligation) to sell some of our raffle tickets for our Annual Grand Draw. (Now what could be more rewarding than that)? You dont have to live near us to join, wherever you live you are most welcome. Many expenses for petrol, electric, post, phone, stationary, ink for the
computer, on occasions special diets for the cats etc. amounting to
hundreds of pounds are often paid out of our own pockets. Every
penny raised by our Group goes to the cats and their welfare. We receive far too many donations of the four-legged type (sadly on occasions 3) and nowhere near enough of the type we need to keep our guests in the comfort they so richly deserve. If you wish, it is possible to donate towards the expenses we incur for the cats in our care an amount (of your choice), no amount is too small and everything is fully appreciated. Cheques should be made payable to Cats Protection, Chesterfield & District Branch and sent to our Treasurer, Helen c/o our Branch address. GIFT AID We are privileged to be able to take advantage of the Inland Revenue Gift Aid Scheme whenever possible, if you are a tax payer, you can help the cats by completing a Gift Aid form (Just your full name and address). It is a scheme which adds tax relief to your donations. For every £1.00 you give, the government will add 28p from your taxes. It doesn't cost you a penny and any donations you give in the future will also be topped up with Gift Aid.
